The Lamb Auction!!!
Oh my goodness! It's already been six months of missing my lamb, and today I'll get another one! This year, with my own money!! So I hope you all will wish me up in picking up the right one, I guess it'll mostly be my dad and grandpa, but who knows? I might pick the Grand Champion. Hope you all are having a good school year, and a good friday!!!

Which one of these lambs is coming home with me??? This year the Henrie's did their auction a little different. Instead of everyone bidding, they took everyone's names and put them in a container. Then, they started with the best lamb that costed the most and started drawing out names. If you wanted to buy that one then you could or you could trade with someone else...
I was so lucky! The very first lamb that they were drawing for they picked my name and I got the #1 lamb! Everyone cheered and I was so excited!!!

Hi all blog followers! I hope you all are reading! A week ago was the Clark County Fair, I hope that you all could make it. I sold my little lamb, Snowball, for 9 dollars a pound, at one hundred and thirty seven pounds!! I was so excited! I would like to thank Caireen Ulepic and Dave Bober who split my lamb with Quincy Walker at Country Insurance. I also thank Jennifer Haworth (My Aunt) , for introducing me to Caireen Ulepic and Dave Bober.
I would also like to thank mesa view hospital. They donated one hundred dollars to me as an add on. I had to got to the fair on Sunday, and watched little Snowball go away to the slotter. Alot of people thought I would cry or be sad, but I wasn't really emotionaly attached. Well, now I feel weird not to have to feed him in the morning, I kind of miss my little rascal lamb...
Thank you all for reading! I hope you liked my blog, I'll be buying my lamb next year, probably from the Henrie's, thanks again and again! :)

The Clark County Fair is almost here!
I will be selling Snowball, my white lamb, at the Clark County Fair this year! All of the money I raise from selling my land goes into my college fund! (I also work very hard to get straight A's and have never gotten a B!) If you want to bid on Snowball, please email me at shelbievelyn200@yahoo.com or even if you want to do an "add-on" which is like just adding on money to whatever I sell him for - that would be wonderful too!
If you want to come to the Clark County Fair here is their website!http://www.ccfair.com/index_html

A week with me and my lambs...
This is a picture of me petting snowball, he sure enjoys food now that he is slowly getting off of his diet! (Hooray! No one likes being on a diet!)
This is a ordinary picture of snowball. He just finished eating, or he looks tired and he wants more. The line on his nose is from his haulter. He doesn't need THAT anymore!
This is me bracing my lamb. My dad is pretending to be the judge to get me ready for the fair. It is only TWO weeks untill the fair! I'm getting nervous.
This is me after setting my lamb up. There are three parts of bracing; #1: Feet stretched. #2: Head in a 90 degree angle. And last is #3: Head looking straight.
This is me walking my lamb, Snowball, around his corral. We do this after he is worked out so he will cooperate with me. If Snowball puts his head down, grab it and pull it back up, or else the lamb will run off to eat weeds.
This is me walking my lamb around my grandpa's trailer. I've got to make sure I take control, or I'll be chasing Snowball all around the desert.

Yes sir, yes sir...three bags full!
WOW! Hey followers, do I have a special treat for you! Mr. Henrie sheared my lambs and boy do they look good. (Sorry it has taken so long for my Mom to upload these photos)My baby brother kept saying that it looked like the lambs were melting when they were getting sheared. It does kind of look like that. We put little coats on them to keep them warm because they aren't used to not having warm wool on their bodies.

(Look at all that wool!)
(Mr. Henrie starting to shear Oreo, and of course ME!) :)

Hey followers!
Hey followers! It's your fellow friend, Shelbi, 4-H Lamb Girl! I just got back from 4-H, and my leader, Cindy Shakespere, told me I did terrific! If you want to know about it, look up 4-H lambs on you tube. It is really getting easier, we put Snowball, also known as the white lamb, on a diet. (He was getting pretty chunky on all that lamb flex!)
Mr. Henrie (The man we bought our lamb from) thinks that Snowball is a very nice lamb.
My friend Jalayne and I, walk my white-lamb down by our pond so it will exercize, also, my dad is recharging the battery to the 4-wheeler so we can attach my lamb to it, and it will REALLY get a good exersice on it.
I am getting nervous since the fair comes in one month, it seems like yesterday I was at the auction, buying my sweet little lambs. Snowball weighs exactly 125 pds. on March 1st, 2010. I am going to have to do good to beat my cousin in showing lambs! This is my cousin, Brook Higbee's, 3rd year in showing a lamb:) (There is a picture of me standing by Brook at the preshow)

Hi all readers! I have started 4-H already! It sometimes is hard, and sometimes is fun! If you would like to bid, just comment! I love raising a lamb, my white one is a little bigger than some of the lambs and we are thinking that we might be showing him instead of the blue lam. It is the pre-show today, and even though I was nervous it was fun! (Sorry the pictures are dark, my Mom says it's because the livestock barn is so dark)
